Meet the team

David Hurwood



David is a highly experienced and well-networked Executive Search and Resourcing professional, with a strong track record of delivery spanning a 25 year career. He specialises in recruiting mid-senior through to D and C level finance professionals where he has recruited across a variety of sectors in the UK, Europe, USA and Asia and has conducted executive search and talent management mandates for FTSE 100/250, Fortune 500, Midcap and SME businesses; including partnering PE & VC backed clients.


David began his career in recruitment in 1989 working for a FTSE listed global recruitment firm where he helped establish several new businesses including a New York operation in the USA. On his return to the UK David went on to run the Commerce & Industry divisions of two UK based Accountancy and Finance recruitment firms.


Industry came calling and David joined a luxury goods online retailer as Operations Director where he would remain for 4 years. Here he was instrumental in transforming the business, driving both growth and profitability during a very challenging economic climate. In 2013 David moved on and advised and successfully delivered a divisional resourcing strategy for the world’s largest building society before moving back into executive recruitment.

Straight out of university, Mitchell went to work for an established North West recruitment business. Despite having no previous experience in recruitment, Mitchell was immediately thrown in the deep end; armed with just a phone and the yellow pages, Mitchell was asked to open up a new Birmingham branch. Within three years Mitchell had created the company’s most successful branch and established himself as the most successful Consultant in the entire business.

Progressing through the levels of specialist financial recruitment it was not long before Mitchell naturally became involved in recruiting at an executive level.  With a natural acumen for interim hires he developed a comprehensive network that made him the go to contact for all things executive interim.  Now armed with an array of experience managing some of the most high profile and demanding projects across a ranging variety of businesses, there is no interim situation that he cannot advise on and add value to.

Adam Butler



After graduating in Business & Accountancy, Adam spent his early career successfully developing the West Midlands clerical and part-qualified offering, for a leading national recruitment group. Adam went on to spend a stint in Melbourne, setting up a commercial finance recruitment arm for one of Australia’s fastest growing firms. Upon returning to the UK, Adam established a qualified recruitment network throughout the Midlands.
